Six Ways To Get New Clients

You want to get clients for your coaching business. You know that you're good at what you do, that people need your help, and so now all you have to do is find them. But how? In this article, I'll share six ways that coaches can start attracting new clients:

Join A Coaching Directory

Getting listed in a coaching directory is a great way to reach new clients. Most directories are good value and easy to use, but there are a few things you should be aware of before deciding to join one:

Are the directory's services valuable for you? If so, which ones?

How much does it cost to get listed? Will that investment pays off in new business generated from being listed?

How many listings do they have available right now? Do they accept coaches who are not fully qualified trained?

What is your competition like within this particular directory? If all of your competitors have more experience than you do, joining this specific directory may not be worth it because it won't help you win over any clients at first glance.

Run a Five-Day Challenge

This free option will allow you to show your expertise, get clients and build a community.

All you need to do is create the challenge and then write about it on your blog, social media profiles and other places where people might be interested in joining.

Build Relationships On Instagram 

Build relationships with your tribe.

Use hashtags. Post regularly.

Post a story daily.

Use Reels daily

Use a hashtag challenge or game (a competition where you ask people to repost or comment on your post to win).

Use hashtags in your posts as much as possible, especially when they're relevant to what you're posting.

Lead Magnet Swaps

What is a lead magnet swap?

A lead magnet swap is when you and another coach exchange your "lead magnets", meaning your free resources that attract new clients. The idea is that you will get a new client by giving away something for free—a win-win situation!

How do I participate in a lead magnet swap?

You can create a document to use as your freebie, then offer it up as a swap until an agreement is made between two people who want different things (i.e., one person wants social media management while another wants Facebook ads training). If possible, organise a meeting or conference call where you can get together. This increases the chances of making deals because people tend to trust one another more when interacting with them rather than just online via email or text messages.

Where should I look for these swaps? Join groups relevant to your niche.

LinkedIn Networking

LinkedIn is an excellent place to network. It's not a social network like Facebook or Instagram, which makes it so powerful. LinkedIn is one of the best places to start if you want to grow your coaching business and build relationships with potential clients. Here are a few reasons why:

You can find leads and potential clients on LinkedIn by searching for keywords related to your area of expertise (e.g., "coach"). This search will bring up anyone who has mentioned those words in their profile or in any posts they have made on LinkedIn groups or pages. You can also connect with people through standard connections if they are not directly associated with you. Once connected, send them a message and start building a relationship before you try to sell or invite them to anything. 

Use LinkedIn Groups as another way to connect with others who share similar interests as yours.

When people know, like and trust you, they want to work with you.

LinkedIn is a great way to build credibility for your niche.

Make sure your brand is consistent across all of your marketing channels and materials so that people know what to expect from you when they contact you for coaching services.

 

PODCASTS

There are many ways to get clients as a coach, but the most important thing is to do what works for you. If you love podcasts, do that; opt for being a podcast guest or start your own podcast.

Being true to yourself will always win over copying others.
